Are you enthusiastic about improving the social and economic wellbeing of our community? The Farrell Benevolent Society is seeking board members to join us as we prepare for a major property redevelopment focused on affordable housing and community development in Dartmouth North. 

 

As a member of our board, you will:

​

  • Collaborate with a dedicated team who are part of the community, care about the community, and want to do the best for residents;

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with community stakeholders, industry experts, government agencies and funders; 

  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership for a major property redevelopment; and

  • Offer community insight and/or expertise in areas such as finance, legal, marketing, fundraising, real estate, networking, community engagement, human resources, and project management.

 

What we're looking for:

​

  • Experience in nonprofit governance, property development, or relevant fields;

  • A strong commitment to community engagement and participation; and

  • A passion for improving our community’s social and economic landscape.
